This do-it-yourself kit is for the student who wants to go one step further. This is better than just buying pre-made agar plates. These petri plates are empty, but include everything you need to quickly and safely make your own agar plates!
Kit includes:
10 sterile petri dishes
10 sterile, individually-wrapped swabs (cotton-tip applicator)
1ea 200mL bottle of sterile nutrient agar (photograph incorrectly shows two bottles. Kit includes one bottle).
Simply heat agar for a few seconds in the microwave and pour into sterile petri dishes. 200mL of agar is sufficient for 10 petri dishes (about 20mL of agar per plate).
